How we know
Which source of knowledge you lean on when sources conflict.
The plain question
When you want to know something, what do you trust to get you there?
The poles
- Empiricist
- Knowledge starts in the senses, evidence, and observation.
- Rationalist
- Reason and logic can reach truths the senses can't hand you.
- Intuition-led
- Some things are known directly — through insight, conscience, or lived experience — before any argument.
What it does not measure
Not how clever or well-read you are — it's about which source you trust when two of them disagree.
An axis is a spectrum, not a box. A reading places your answers toward a pole — and only when you said enough to place them; otherwise it leaves the axis open.
